About the Journal

Journal of Islamic Economics and Business Perspectives or abbreviated as JIEBP is published by the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Islamic University of Cordoba, Indonesia, since 2025, with a frequency of publication twice a year in August and December.

The name “JIEBP” reflects a broad perspective that integrates various disciplines in economics, finance, business, and philanthropy from an Islamic thought. This identity emphasizes the journal's commitment to examining a wide range of issues, from traditional Islamic finance and banking to innovative areas such as Islamic marketing and social responsibility. The journal serves as an academic forum that brings together diverse ideas and research findings under the umbrella of Islamic economic principles, making “JIEBP” not just a name but a representation of a comprehensive vision for connecting various dimensions of economics and finance based on Islamic values.

JIEBP specifically focuses on strategic issues related to the development of Islamic law in economic and financial studies. Its scope includes in-depth research and analysis in fields such as Islamic economic law, Islamic banking and finance, Islamic marketing, Islamic human resource management, as well as studies discussing zakat, waqf, poverty alleviation strategies, Islamic public finance, monetary economics, economic development, and the principles of Maqasid al-Shariah. The journal also opens up space for studies on institutional economics, Islamic management, behavioral economics, corporate governance, risk management, and innovation in financial products and services in accordance with Sharia principles.

In addition, JIEBP highlights cutting-edge topics such as financial engineering, securitization and sukuk, Islamic capital markets, insurance and takaful, regulatory policy, and corporate social responsibility from an Islamic perspective. The journal encourages manuscripts with innovative approaches, particularly in the areas of risk management, sharia issues, and Islamic capital market development. Through its publications, JIEBP strives to make significant contributions to enriching academic studies while supporting Islamic economic and business practices that are relevant to contemporary needs.
